In this course, students will be reading, discussing, and analyzing texts at the highest level in order to prepare them for college and beyond. Students will be interpreting literature and writing deeply about great works of fiction to help them become more introspective and open-minded citizens of the world. Students will learn to discuss deep issues from some of the great works of English Literature and be able to develop their own voice and ideas while reading, writing, and speaking about these wonderful novels.

Students will be completing 2 out of 3 creative final projects for the novella "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde." These three projects consist of a research project, an art-based project, and a writing project.
The Honors English class (7th period) must complete all 3 projects.
