Art I is a well-rounded journey through the timeless world of art, taking students into a deeper exploration of mediums, the language of art and a brief bit of art history. Students will be able to learn a strong foundation of the fundamental art techniques, beginning with 1-3 point perspective drawing, mastering the identification and application of the 7 elements of art, articulate their artistic choices and engage in at least 3-4 different mediums.

Over Thanksgiving break, students are to either BUY a sketchbook if they lost theirs or still do not have one and DRAW IN IT!
Carrying a sketchbook and actively drawing or writing ideas in it throughout the day is the best practice for a growing artist and also ensures living work for teachers, parents and potentially colleges to see.
