Senior Pointe Shoe Fitting

Friday three of Cruz's senior dancers who passed pre-pointe went for their first pointe shoe fitting, which is traditionally done with their teacher. Our three seniors went to the dance store with our own Ms. Sarah. The fitting started with an assessment of the dancers' feet, ankles and knees. Then the students tried on 20 - 25 pairs of shoes, talking through how pointe shoes should feel, what kind of discomfort is normal and what isn't. They spent two hours narrowing it down to two pairs, and in the end the fitting was successful! We look forward to seeing these three seniors dance pointe very soon!
