good morning dragons happy Tuesday of spring break everybody is enjoying the wait archana up enjoying the beautiful sun logging onto Facebook live will be getting started so because it is spring break this week and we are staying home by ourselves have to think back to other years A lot of times during spring break we get to family spring break but I did find a book about visiting family to share with you today now this story is from a very famous author and award-winning author. This particular story received the Caldecott honor metal that's on the cover shows us that it received at that award in the author Cynthia Rylant is very famous and she has a lot of books that she's written so today will be ready the relatives came I was in the summer of the year when their relatives came they came up from Virginia they left when their grapes were nearly but not quite so now today while we're reading going to be thinking about the beginning middle and end of the good reader always think about what happens first in the middle and last while they're reading so today pay attention to the beginning of this story the relatives had an old station wagon that smells like a real car and in it they put an ice chest full of soda pop and some boxes of crackers and some bologna sandwiches and update from Virginia they left at 4 in the morning when it was still dark before even the Birds were awake they drove all day long and Into the Night they looked at the strange houses in different mountains and they thought about their almost purple grapes back home they thought about Virginia but they chew so in the beginning of the story hear the relatives are traveling their driving to to see their other relatives so the begin is when they're packing up and they're going to get there let's see what happens in the middle of the story so they drank up all their pop eat up all their crackers and travelled up all those miles until finally they pulled into our yard then it was hugging time talk about hugging just passed us all around their car pulling us against their wrinkle Virginia close crying sometimes they hug Desperate Hours then it was into the house stop laughing and Shining faces and hugging in the doorways you have to go through at least four different hugs to get from Kitchen to the front room those relatives and finally after a big supper two or three times around until we all got to turn of the table there was quiet talk and we were in twos and three throughout the house the relatives weren't particular about Beds which was good since there weren't any extras so if you squeeze in with a cataract slept on the floor some with their arm thrown over the closest person or some with an arm across one person and another it was different going to sleep with all that new breeding in the house the relative stage weeks and weeks they helped us tend the garden and they fixed any broken things they could they ate up all our strawberries and melons then promised we could eat up all their grapes and peaches when we came to Virginia none of us thought about Virginia much we were so busy hugging and eating and breathing together the middle of the story the relatives were there at their house visiting and sounds like they stayed a really long time weeks and weeks its side and so they have all these meals together like slept together and fix things together for a really long time so that's been the middle of the story remember good readers think about what happens at the beginning middle and end so let's keep reading and see how this book ends finally after a long time the relative loaded up their ice chest and headed back to Virginia at 4 in the morning we stood there never Jam has waved them awesome the dark watch the relative disappear down the road then we crawled back into our beds that felt too big and too quiet we fell asleep and the relatives all day long and into the night and while they traveled along they looked at strange houses and different mountains and they thought about their dark purple grapes waiting at Virginia what about missing them and they miss us and when they were finally home in Virginia they crawled into their silent beds and dreams about the next summer so at the end of the book then the relatives leave and they trap dot-com ISO all stories have a beginning middle and end in the story in the beginning they drove to go visit the relatives at the end they packed up back home that's the end of this book against by Cynthia Rylant it is a collicot award-winning book and I hope he'll find some more of her stories to read someday I hope you're having a spring break enjoy the rest of your Tuesday and we'll see you again for the next 3 hours soon
